Do you support Microsoft acquisition of Yahoo?

Do you guys support Microsoft taking over Yahoo?
For me, it's a mixed bag.
I generally dislike the idea of Microsoft taking over Yahoo and merging Yahoo's services with their services. But I can see potential advantages.

What I dislike:
Microsoft merging its services with those of Yahoo. For example, MSN messenger and Yahoo messenger being essentially the same; email services being identical, Yahoo style eroding and getting taken over by the dull MSN style, etc...
Disadvantages here will be less innovation, no new features, less choice and variety.

What I may like:
With MSN Live and Yahoo search engines merging, one would not only need to optimize his websites for the combined search engine and would easily reap the benefit of a bigger search engine with a larger search volume.

I like microsoft, probably my choice of company to take over things, along with google of course.

But I like the search engine mix, since Live is the least used search engine. But, I support it all the way, I'm sure Microsoft will improve on yahoo.

it can only be a good thing to of the largest companies merging should be interesting to see what happens.

Honestly it doesn't really matter to me. Yahoo has hit the gutter and I don't think MSN acquiring them is going to do much for MSN to be honest. Although I would rather see google take yahoo

Less competition means less choice and more dependency upon big corporations to do what is right as opposed to what is in their own best interest. I would like to see more competition among Google, Yahoo, Microsoft and any other upstart that has a killer app.

I supported it as Google is way too powerful and a combined Microsoft and Yahoo could rival Google.

Yes, it would of been good for Yahoo's stock
