Hi Guys

We're about four months post launch for a niche dating site and obviously we're building content and inbound links as fast as we can. Is it worth spending $299 on a listing in the Yahoo Directory? The page that we would actually appear on only has PR3 - but is it still recommended as it's Yahoo?

I think you should invest that kind of money to some other directories, where you can list for less fee at some better pr. All you need is traffic, that can be achieved by other means as well. Having listed your site in yahoo doesn't matter that much.
I would advice to do some research work before investing your money to anywhere.

You don't spend $299 for a listing. You spend $299 per year, for a review to see if your site is worth listing. With no guarantee of a listing.

Yea, thats why I dont like to take that chance. I can invest $299 on other marketing strategies which will help me to gain more traffic and more results.

Nearly all of webmasters agree that Yahoo directory links are really authority links and very powerful, so if you can afford it, well, nice.

I was about to do it, but if they reject your website apparently you do not get a refund
