I use Yahoo all the time to search and for my e-mail, but when I tried their free web site, I didn't like the service at all. Their ads blocked part of my website and the only way to get rid of them was to upgrade to a paid account. At that time I wasn't ready for a paid account, and I had trouble with their site wizard. I have My Yahoo set up and I like that. I use Yahoo all the time for their other services.

Yahoo is good only for Myyahoo. Rest of the things that yahoo does are done better by google. It is just the personalized home page business in which yahoo leads.

Honestly I only use yahoo for their mail service and I had a yahoo mail account set up before gmail was introduced ! I used to use their messenger service and i think its ok ! Are you talking about yahoo geocities by meaning yahoo free website ? Geocities is shit really i used it before and their java based ads always drove me nuts . There are many ad free free hsoting websites there try using them !
