Download a small yahoo messenger plugin.. it will tell you whether your yahoo buddy is offline or just pretending to be offline..

Well .. buddy spy works fine for this purpose . BUT the person whom you are checking should be in your messenger as a friend

Why should I care about that person who is not in my list. So I think this is a perfect software to check whether someone is online or not.

Well dont care then ! For me its very important , not every person you met online could be in your friends list so it would be majorily cool if you can find the other strangers ( u knw what ) is online and pretending to be offline . I also use buddy spy but as spid4r said the persons you check should be in your friends list so not of much use .

Is that safe to download and install on your PC.
I am always wary of downloading spy programs as they end up spying on your own PC.
