Just wondering Is the flickr API ( http://www.flickr.com/services/api/ ) completely independent of the Y! API ? What are your thoughts ?

I think it is independent than yahoo api. I think yahoo is just using their web services.

Yes I believe that it is. As far as from the website i refer flickr api is independent of Yahoo API !
