Need your suggestion on MixCat.com Video Sharing Section

Hi everyone! I would like hear your feedbacks on the design, layout and functionality of our new section at our site - MixCat.com Video Sharing Community http://video.mixcat.com

We have just launched it and wanted to know how it appeals to visitors.

Feel free to test how it works and tell me what you think.

I'll focus my review on the design.

It's pretty. That's really important. The header is really simple and nice. The menu bars look good BUT the overstate of the buttons look weird. They could get a different color. Content area is nice, white, readable, ok

. The sidebar is also simple but the gradient used in it is to white. The upper part of the letters from the category titles is hard to read like that. As for the footer, I really like it, but you could add a border/dropshadow from the white area of the content area.

well the site, content and the design all look good the only thing i would like to suggest is to change the light green color used. try using a different color coz it kinda hurting the eye, its too bright.

Noted buddy, our designer will change it once he has the time to do so as he has a lot of other works pending, lols.

Yes, exactly, it's not easy to see the light text on the bright green background. I've gone to view your coding and I think your designer has got the color fixed in the css file. It wouldn't take long for your designer to edit just one css file, really.

If you're thinking of changing to another color palette, you'll need time to do some mix and match, but meanwhile, to serve your visitors well, your best bet is to change the white text into black text. This should help somehow for the time being.

We are really working to improve on that. Unfortunately, our designer are tied up with some other important projects in our network

But it is already in his agenda in the coming days

I really like your mixcat idea. I would suggest you try and include some more text on your video directory if you want any sort of search engine traffic
