Has any one else used Microsoft's free web hosting?

They register your domain name for a year, give you 500mb of space and 25 email accounts. They offer this for free. They also offer a paid service as well.

The free service also includes site design tools. You pretty much have to use these tools though. They won't let you upload pages you've created with the free version. But you are able to upload pictures, and documents. So you can customize your pages, but there are limitations.

They also include $50 worth of search advertising credit.

This is certainly something for new comers to look into. More experienced web masters might find it useful for testing new ideas. But you can't transfer your domain name during the first 60 days without paying a registration fee.

Thats something new that i have come across but i think it would still not be advisable to go for it since you are not allowed to upload your own pages and are somewhat forced to use their tools. But certainly good for beginners i must say.

This is perhaps good for the beginners or newbies..
But many features of other hosting are excluded...

there are so many free hosting availble, and even it ask for you cc even for free account. I tried, but it forced to select .org instead of .com or .net so i just withdraw the idea.

Well in order to signup you must be a USA citizen and must provide your credit card in order to confirm that u r an american lol :P
