Iam using outlook express 6. Iam installed application "Auto-Configure Microsoft Outlook Express® for POP3 Access" through cpanel, in my computer for my email account.

Also i have set up my mail server address name and port 465 in outlook express. I did not get any error message in that time. But if i send any message through outlook express, i getting the following error message.

"An unknown error has occured. subject " ", Account: "my mail server name", Server: "my mail server name", Protocol: SMTP, Port:26, Secure(SSL): No, Error number: 0x800CCC0B"

And is your server setup for SMTP mail on Port 26?
Because the default SMTP port is 25 and the Secure SMTP is on port 465

incoming mail server should be POP3 which is port 110

and outgoing mail should be SMTP which is port 25

Secure(SSL):
does your mail server require SSL for SMTP mail?

if not uncheck the secure mail option in you mail client
