I like smartftp more than filezilla, there are just times that filezilla is confusing to use, not quite user friendly

Core FTP it currently works for me.

I've always used ws_ftp myself, very nice and easy to use software

Over the past 12 - 13 years I have used just about all of the ones on that list.

Currently I use filezille - its easy, secure and updates on a regular basis.

Filezilla is the only FTP client I've tried.I find it simpler and comfortable to use.

I actually don't use any of them.

I work with Dreamweaver and have never loaded any pages from it.

I just configure a network connection in XP Pro to my root folder and I'm done with it.
I can load 5 or 500 pages at once .. It's all just copy and paste from there on out.

Networking, at least for me, eliminates the need for the use of any 3rd party software.
