Is there any way to check a server uptime?
I am hosting my website with a web host and at least twice, very late at night, I tried to access my site and it was down.
I suspect that very often at nights, when I am not checking, my site goes down.
My webhost guaranties 99% uptime. I want to catch them.
Status2k this is the name of a downloadable script. You need to upload the script onto your server and then Install it.
It will give you all the deatils required regarding your host downtime and uptime.
But I guess the script is a payed one.
Just give it a check and see If the script is suitable for what you need.
well! if you have any doubts of upload time, I would recommend you to switch to some better webhost instead of wasting your time and effort.
But first write an email to your webhosting telling them that you want to change your hosting due to the mentioned reason(s), I'm sure that they will give your website special treatment.
if your webhost is down during the night and operates during the day, the other part of the world would know. when its night in your place, the other half is morning. have someone to surf it by that time. :P
but like c4cyber said, look for another host if you have a doubt.
