Default My HTML learning story... Whats yours?

Has anyone read Headfirst HTML with XHTML and CSS? This is how I got my feet wet in HTML and would recommend this book to anyone who wants to get started in it. True, there are plenty of alternatives out there like free online tutorials, but this book makes it much more painless. It's fully illustrated and interactive. Instead of just settting down dry rules about how to use HTML it has you design websites and do exercises in the book. It is also written in a conversative tone making it easier on the ol' noggin to follow along. How did you learn HTML?

I hate to read, so I got my feet wet over 14 yrs ago by grabbing an HTML Editor and taught myself.

I started learning HTML from W3Schools Online Web Tutorials which is the best resource to learn HTML or other web related technologies.

I started learning HTML during a summer camp and I had the option to take a computer course and that got me started with HTML/Web development and I now plan on taking computer science as my major in college next year.

I started learning HTML through reading a few tutorials and messing around with Frontpage at school. It was all very exciting

My friend told me abouut this site called w3schools.com and thats how I learnt it. Though it was pretty easy but took time since you have to do it yourself and cant clear your doubts with anyone.
