I see this as MS looking for a Dreamweaver / Photoshop killer. Taking advantage of the drop in Dreamweaver usage/sales over the last few years.

I really wonder... can MS deliver standards base XHTML, CSS, and unobtrusive Javascript etc without reverting the Microsoft old school. Can they do it while not locking themselves into the .net framework.

i installed it... played with it... but again switched back to NVU... still i feel the front page was better... this interface is good when u have wide screen monitor supporting high resolution...

I dont know, personally I dont think you should ever use a GUI for making HTML, CSS, etc things. I like having more controls and going directly to the code. Someone will have to tell me how the design one is though, because that could be nice though I doubt it can compete with photoshop in such an early state of development.
