templates are good but not for everyone.
If you are coding for a prestigioius client and/or want to justify your pay, you are doing them a disservice by using a template - they are unique in their space and need to be treated as such on the web. On the other hand, if you are putting up a site for say your buddy or some guy paying you peanuts for your site, you use a template. Personally, all I have to do is look a page for a few secs to determine if a page is a template. Regardless of who the site is for, all credibility is lost for the coder when I see this. A website is to be creative.
There is no "re-inventing the wheel" when it comes to presentation, but there is when it comes to business logic. If there were, then we wouldn't start all our pages with the html-head-title-body tags.
Templates r the very reason y some of us get paid peanuts in this game. Clients aren't stupid. They know good work when they see it.
