Default Special tags to display html code on the page

Hi all,

If anyone knows what tags should be used to display HTML tags with the text we write - in another word, the tags that can display other HTML tags in a browser?

Thank you in advance.

Regards

You can use another form of tags, & for "<" and ; for ">"
e.g. to show <html>, type this in the code:

&lt;html&gt;

lt stands for "lesser than", while gt stands for "greater than".

For a whole lot of other tags, try this page/tutorial:

I think the easiest way to do this and see the real character is using dreamweaver, when you type in design view instead of html tags you will see the special characters.

better yet, do it with PHP. simply encode the ordinary page, then have a PHP display the code as is the way you wrote it (not the output one).
