actually its my school project, the title is: designing a web page (and try to make one example)

im interested in "scientific" (i couldnt find better word) approach- some kind of a study of key elements.
could you give any good links?
.pdf, .doc -ideally it would be around 20 pages.
but of course it can be shorter, maybe just a structure of key elements (and i could add content on my own).
