The site is conceived as a subscription site, providing access to original photos and video. It would need a title page to introduce surfers to the site, maybe a second page for more sample photos and further description of the site, and then a third page where the surfer can sign up for the subscription. Then, once the surfer has paid for the subscription, he/she needs access to the photos and vids. The subscriptions are going through PayPal.

I've created lots of html sites but none that have a login/password. What would entail setting up a subscription site?

p.s. Is $25/hour reasonable for this freelance project?

php subscriptions are quite simple to create. I haven't learned how to do the automatic payment processing yet.

If you are looking to do it all yourself I would recommend finding a script at hotscripts.com to do it. I'm not sure if there are free scripts out there that support payment, and I haven't a clue how to do this in php.

well ! If you are going to check at paypal's site, you are going to find that paypal subscription functionality is of intermediate level, that means you are going to need little more effort compartive to simple login page.
$16/hour is quite reasonable for this. As $25/hour is for advance level skills.

I just realized you'd need to check for a paypal 'VERIFIED' string using PayPal's IPN system. Still, I haven't got a clue how you'd do that. There are lots of pre-made scripts that do a great job, as I mentioned above.
