There are so many webdesigner companies and individuals offering wide range of free templates. I was just wondering, that does someone actually use these FREE templates? If yes, than what's about uniqueness and quality of the design? Do these FREE templates worth of appreciation?

I used a free template for my website http://josechukkiri.110mb.com . I think the template I used is worth enough. It is very simple in design. If required I can make some changes in the lay out and color etc.

C4cyber there are many individuals using free templates, many are using forums too , but still free templates are in demand.

The uniqueness of the template depends on how you customise it after downloading.
Users who are unable to do graphic designing, depend on free templates, and more over premium templates are too costly for most people!

And Yes you also have free customised templates, designed according to your specifications, so why not!! use free templates.

I don't see an issue with using them, I just get a lot out of making my own unique template for each unique site. It makes me feel the site is my own creation, which is the main reason I do not use free templates.

I am using free templates on almost all my websites, blogs, directory and forums. However I do go ahead and modify them to suit my need and make them look unique.

This is the exact reason why I do not use free templates. But I do design free templates for noob users.
I come across so many users who do not have even the closest hint on how to design a templates, they do not have the basic idea of html.
When I design sites for them, they really like it.
Once they learn customising, they could make their own unique theme.

I think the free templates are good fore someone who doens`t have $ to go to a professional webdesigner and wants to have a site on the internet ! Maby his template is used by 10000 other people but he has a site ! The ideea is that a webdesign company maby is to much ( i mean the price ) for some people but many don`t know that they can go to a Freelancer that has a low price and maby is more intrested to make a great job then many of the professional company`s !
