Default HTML, CSS, and PHP

I know HTML and CSS work together. Can you use PHP with HTML and CSS? What do you use PHP for? I know these are baby questions, but I'm trying to learn as much as I can.

php is server side, yes you can use php with html/css. this site here is using it. php is mainly used for user intergration to the site. like how you type into the form and it shows up on the page when you hit submit.

small break down will be something like this
form->database
page->database->page

in other words it the form submits to the database then the page looks to the database for content then inserts it to the page.

Thank you for your answer. It makes php much clearer to me. So, you start with html, css holds the look of the site, and php retrieves information from a data base and inserts it into a form. Have I got it straight?

sorta, normally you would use a form to put the infomation into the database then retreive and place it into the html.

I don't know too much about this topic, but you can use Html with CSS as well as Html with PHP, but the three of them I'm not really sure. Anyway, I want to start using PHP in my designs so I'm learning now.

Pretty much as all of the above have mentioned.

You can use all 3 on your pages. You can use php to generate dynamic pages for the content stored in your database, or in text files.

Yes, you can use all 3 and as a matter of fact, if you are looking at coding web apps, as opposed to plain old websites, then you better use all 3
