Yeah it surely is. I think IPV6 has taken the ip address market now and the web 2.0 will take the web market now.

Yup. I think almost all dot com gurus have migrated themselves to Web 2.0.
IPv6 is widely used in Japan and Korea. I have heard they are no longer using IPv4. I hope anyone can confirm this.

I guess Blogging and Social Networking are vital organs of next generation e-businesses. Regretfully, the potential of blogging is not utilized by corporations over here. I have realized the cause behind it is either because the techies don't know about Web 2.0 & Enterprise 2.0 or the firm is not interested.

Hi !
I've been using internet for 7 years and i think web 2.0 has just gave a new direction. On internet everything is so much alive and interesting now. Infact it has shaped new ideas for marketing, online business and other stuff as well. Now internet is more like a plateform rather than just a way to get or provide information.
web 2.0 is not a new idea, infact there are certain things that were on internet from the early days.

The thing that makes web2.0 exciting is the prospect of a standardised web -- rss feeds, W3C standard tags, and the notion of 'tag-clouds' to supersede traditional classification methods.

However, with that in mind, I see web2.0 as a phase towards something else. I think it all becomes over-duplicated with many sites copying others rather than producing their own unique idea. Hence, I think the web will centralise much faster in a few years time.

the very goal of web 2.0 is to allow more IPs to come into the "inter"-net. it is not a question of "is it the future" but "is it the solution". it will use 6-octets for IPs. in the future more and more IP will be needed. 70110209207109375 new IPs will sometime be (like web 1.0) scares.

I've seen a nice presentation a few months ago in a informatics summer camp. It was about the future of the web. The dude that was presenting it was a IT professional of some sort and he said that the ideal is to create a massive OS that runs the whole internet that will delete duplicate content, find information faster etc... Not sure if that will happen while I'm still alive but hey, who knows?
