Default Problem with Drupal using excessive resources

Hi,

I am using Drupal on one of my websites and keep receiving warnings from my web host that my site is using too much server resources.
They say that the Drupal CMS is using too much of the CPU resources.
Anyone else having trouble with Drupal using excessive resources? Please note that my website traffic is very low. I usually have less than 20 visitors at the same time.
I have no idea why there is such a high resource consumption.
Did anyone have the same problem and how did you solve it? Please help.

This is part of the email that I got from them:

I've never used drupal before. I think your best bet is to either move hosts, or use a different cms like joomla. Maybe there's some sloppy code in the version of drupal you're using?
