Oh, alright. Well then, Wordpress is coded in PHP.

Better yet, if you're a good coder. Code your own CMS but it will take time. Though, good luck!

it is depend of what you need. for general purpose, CMS can help you. but, not for specific purpose, i think you can code your own CMS.

Wordpress is not a CMS, it's a blogging platform. Joomla is one of the best content management systems out there and it's free. You make it do just about anything you want.

^ Wrong. Wordpress is, by definition, a CMS. CMS = Content Management System, exactly what wordpress does.

That being said, it's one of the best, so I would highly recommend it.

There is no "best CMS" because the "best CMS" is the CMS that does what you want it to do.

Everyone told me Joomla was the bomb, then I installed it and it did nothing that I wanted.

To the poster; You need to tell us what you want on your site, whats it going to focus on, and all that.
CMS are really good to get a site up quick, I personally dont see the point in making a CMS when there are plenty of opensource CMS platforms to build off.

Tell us what your site will feature, and we'll give you a definite "This will be perfect for your site" answer.
