I have come across many premodded board like nuke evolution, platinum, icy phoenix etc.
I would like to know if you would go for a pre modded board or an original release.
For example Icy phoenix is a pre modded version of PHPBB, so would you install phoenix or phpbb?
Unless there is a good reason why I should install phoenix, I would probably stick with the original script.
The original script probably provides more updates and bug fixes, so you don't want to get stuck with a pre-modded script that has security vulnerabilities.
But don't the premodded board developers release fixes and updates.
They even claim to have better security, and change some core files sometimes. They sometimes are from the original board development team and leave to make a better board.
You would normally have to install mods for your original board which is hectic and consumes time, where as prmodded board have it all there!
