blog with a directory?

Everyone is getting crazy about blogs, even now there is a buzz of having a blog associated with a web directory as well. Does having a blog with my webdirectory will be of any help?

If your directory is a quality one, then a blog is good as for to announce any updates or news related to the site. But if your links are mostly free links, blog will not do any good.

I would suggest just focusing on either one. This way you get to work more on its quality. But then again, the decision is really up to you
