Default Coming up with the topics

I have a couple of blogs that I am writing for and developing right now. One is a webmaster blog that I post my thoughts, plans, and ideas on. The other is a Canadian topic and the third is a Health/Lifestyle blog.

With these three there is a very large range of available topics, all of which I have an interest.

How do you pick what to write about? Do you do keyword analysis? How often do you poat long articles and how many are just 200 word 20 minutes jobbies?

I really don’t do any keyword analysis, what I do is read a lot of news, blogs, articles etc. regarding my niche and in case some thing catches my interest, I just share my views on my blogs.

I don't do any keyword analysis, but you can't afford to spend time for writing posts which are outdated or of no interest of users. Some research is required before start positng. To answer your second question i write films, so i don't have to think much, as i love this topic. The point is don't think too much, just spend some appropriate amount of time on each blog and read similar blogs to get ideas .

I just post whatever is relevant whenever I get a chance to. If a new product just came out, or something happened on the news, I post a blog entry anchoring that in. It's great because search engines pick that up since it has to do with a current event.

I look to other blogs for some inspiration - what are some popular topics being discussed on other blogs. I will then take a topic I see somewhere else, and then make it my own. If you run out of ideas, another good thing to do every once in a while is to re-visit old posts that were once very popular. Try to bring in some new information.
