Is this a trivial question? as programmer, I never studied the history of languages that I use.
I'm into
using the language
and not learning the history. I don't even care who made those. All I know is that they provided a tool for us to use.

if u are a true programmer than the history doesn't mean for you caz u are concentrate only on the codeing and perl is very old and first web develpoing languase.
