last week, i got an email from paypal. it looked like one from paypal. It asked me to login at my paypal account, as they have noticed some activities(i don't know what they were talking about). So after reading the cosequences of not loging there, i just loged in.
What was that? does anyone have anyidea about it?

DO NOT EVER put your user name and password in after following a link in an email that looks like it is from a bank or ANY payment processor.

If you logged in and it wasn't actually paypal change your password IMMEDIATELY!!!

Sounds like it was that. If you get an email, you should type paypal's address into the browser and then log in to see what they have to say.

It surely is a case of phishing emails.Often you get such emails in your spam folder and once you go to the link given in that email and give any sort of details,that will straight go to the sender of the email.

If you had entered your password,then change it now.

it must have been a phishing email.

i received one someday's back with the subject paypal survey. did any of you guys receive it?

... and remember, any genuine email from PayPal will include your name, not just 'Dear Sir'.

But the main thing is ALWAYS logon directly to paypal-dot-com (or whatever), NEVER follow a link from an email.

As paypal people say always login from a fresh browser window. Don't ever click on any links which comes to your mail saying you have funds login to check out or you need to confirm your account please login to check. They are fraud links and you may lose your account and as well as money in your account. If you clicked on it i'm sure you have to change your password right now. And in the future don't ever do it again.

My mum read an article about phishing emails and got an email from eBay asking her to confirm her details, so she ignored it.
72hours later, he account was banned/frozen/etc.

It was lol. BiBi rep.


But yeh, it's a phishing email. I get them all the time, I lol and report to hackers.
Get into the habbit of checking the URL of the webpage.
