Spidering a PPC

Do PPC search engines use any spidering when you list an ad? Also, I am doubting that it will cost me.

I don't quite understand what you mean by spidering.
I know that some PPC services like miva put your ads on several webpages that get indexed in Google.

I have noticed statcounter that are show 0 secs in duration, getting lots of hits. Is this what is called getting "targeted? I am suspicious that this costs me clicks
