It was just released a few days ago but within hours Microsoft Vista has been cracked by the hacker group Pantheon.

This flaw will be close to impossible to fix as the exploit uses the fact that OEM versions do not require any activation process at all.

Vista has been cracked ? For real huh ... I thought MS had put a lot of work into Vista. Oh well, not surprising ... that's why I am not getting Vista just yet.

Vista was cracked almost a month back...

most of my friends using Vista thorugh cracks...

But I guess they won't be able to download updates or download other free microsoft products that require Windows to be validated. That's a huge handicap.

No...they do that...the crack is just to extend the time limit of the grace period indefinitely...so no problem during updates

1. Very low sales for Vista (around 60% lower than they expected during the launch)

2. Minutes after Vista was released, 6 months of protection programming was cracked.

3. Within days around 25+ different groups released different ways of cracking Vista protection.

4. No usable Nvidia/Ati driver yet.

5.Free Programs released on the web which converts XP nearly to vista(features wise)

6. Disappointing of Office 2007

The update is running well for cracked vista aswell , Microsoft is simply pwned !
