I have found that for some sites on which I operate Adsense ads I am having problems finding high quality link exchange partners. It seems that many webmasters consider sites with Adsense running on them to be somewhat spammy. Is anyone else facing similar difficulties?

I don't think so. It's irrelevant whether or not you have adsense ads on your website. If your website is a high-quality website with useful information or tools, a solid pagerank, and a lot of traffic, people will be lining up to exchange links with you.
However if you have a MFA (Made For Adsense) website, I don't think that anyone would be interested in exchanging links with you.
I guess it all depends on the quality of your site and NOT on whether or not you have adsense ads on it.

Ya maybe it could be the problem. anyhow if your site has good PR, well designed and good content I believe most of them wouldn't mind the link even if adsense is all over the place
