Has anyone tried online classified ads, like from newspaper websites that have free online listings or paid ones too and how effective were they for your online marketing purposes?

Did they give a good boost in rankings?
Did they give good click though traffic?
What newspaper sites worked good ones for you?
Anybody have a good list of classified ad sites?
Anyone does this service, online classified ad submissions, just like what raj and sunil does for directory submissions?

I have had lots of luck with offline classified ads in newspapers and related industry newpapers are great if you can find one that relates to your sites topic. Often times they have a free classified ad's at certain times of the year so you can try the ad for free once and if it goes good then continue as a paid ad.

Just remember, PR is only a way to try to get to the top of the serps, which in turn translates to traffic.

Offline ads may not fix PR, but they generate *direct* traffic.

Traffic converts, PR doesn't.

I dont think it is goign to affect your PR in anyway, but i am sure abotu that its definitely going to give you some traffic if its at proper place.
