sig links are useful, do better use your keywords as anchor text!

You can rent out your sig links - alot of people are looking to purchase signature space. Standard rates is 0.01c per post per month. I.E if you have 500 posts, someone would buy your link for 5$ per month.

I do that on a few big forums.
Its a good way to earn a bit of extra cash if you need it or even if you dont need it.

Forum signatures are really important. They will help in increasing the traffic and also the pr. Provided if there are many clicks from that backlinks. Else it will be of no use. And one should be careful in posing his signature in a site which has got a higher page rank than his.

Your sig on forums count as back links if those forums "no follow" tags are disabled and should contribute in your PR building.

Aside from PR concerns, forum sigs is a nice way to draw traffic to your site. So long as you contribute constuctively to the forums you participate in

I own three website and 100% of the traffic generated is from Signature Links! I have noticed that the more detailed and informative your replies and posts are the more traffic you will also generate. Simply just saying, "Yeah Signature links work" will not get you any traffic. Sometimes this method does but you better have a catchy siglink! I also suggest NOT adding text before your signatures like the poster above me. Please don't take offense! I'm only saying this for your benefit. Make your text a clickable link like mine and you will get far better results. I honestly see the above siglink as an unorganized signature, and I'm not clicking it. Almost like it's information over load in some sense. I have written many blogs regarding successful signatures sales but they are all mainly for an auction and not regarding the topic so much. In the end I only suggest 1 thing, well maybe two aside for everything else. Make the wording short and descriptive as possible.

Definitely it will.Look a forum signature link containing the URL of your website will act as an inbound link.When Google crawls for Backlinks it is bound to get cached and then it is added to youir total of incoming or backlink.And as we all know ,the better number of incoming links from quality sites the better the PR.

Yes Sig links can work in your favor. In a forum with high Traffic, they can even get you decent amount of traffic if your post gets bounced enough!

Very useful. if you have a website instead of a blog you should posting on a forum regularly. If possible put some of your targeted internal link too.
