Link baiting is the best way of getting quality backlinks for your website. this you can done through submitting articles in other sites or offering some free services in order to get back links. all the links achieved are natural one way link.

i agree sarah. you can even ask your friends, professioanl organization to link to you.

One potential problem that would arise if you use article marketing through directory submission is that the sites that might link to your article would cite the directories as the source and not your site. In which case, you don't get any SEO benefits...

Just have to write good articles and the traffic will follow. Although sometimes I think that an article I'm writing is really good, never gets any backlinks haha

It just seems like less and less webmasters/bloggers and giving links these days. Maybe it's just me.

I think link baiting is better done by giving something away for free. For instance, you buy a few templates and give them away and before you know it you will have sites linking to your template pages.
