Default Has anyone used Logomaker.com?

I came across this site a while ago and thought it looked pretty interesting. I don't have any of these graphic programs like photoshop or illustrator or anything, so for something I can just easily do online would be convenient. They charge about $50 though. Is that a rip-off you think? Maybe I should just poke around for a free program.

I just checked it out.
I'd rather hire someone at this freelance website to design a nice logo for me than pay $49 and design the logo myself.
If I wanted to design a logo myself, I would buy a graphic software.

Tim - brother is right as for doing it yourself, so I'll suggest a very easy logo / banner program where you can create your own with ease ... BannerMakerPro

If you are a designer you better create it to yourself. If you don’t have any designing software’s you better hire some one to create logos and banners and stuff. Because in those sites there will be ready to use logos you can’t create logo’s as you want them to. If you create a logo there spending $50 it’s really don’t worth. For $50 you can find a best designer in lot of forums.

I'd rather use a custom logo then one generated of a dime-a-dozen website

I would suggest asking around, or if you need a logo, try out The Admin Zone Then if you sign up, scroll down to the community cooperative. Then you can make a request, following their template, and hopefully someone will follow.

Otherwise, just play around with any programs you have, some great free ones are

Paint.NET - http://www.getpaint.net/
The GIMP - http://www.gimp.org/

Both are amazing programs to use and you could easily make a logo with them, both or one of them. Whichever you feel more comfortable with.
