I have been looking to design animation banners for a while but have not found a good place to get the information I need to get started with it.

If anyone here knows where they can direct me to learning the processes of banner animation or if someone knows how to do it please post here.

I would be very interested in taking my designing to the next level.

Very good for making animated banners and any other banner...

You can use photoshop to make gif banners. But I like to make flash animated banners as always. You can get amazing banners using it. So I would prefer flash if I am looking for animated banners

Guys give you very kool idea, but I suggest 1st make layout of banner in adobe ps or in ai, or any other editor and then make its animation in flash or any gif animator.

Yahoo advertisers use Flash nowadays. aside from animation, they can also make a simple game to entertain probable clients. I say, go for Flash. GIF animations are just for mobile phones now but again Flash is also available.
