I am inspired by simplicity. It may sound lame but the thought of easy navigation and practical designs is revolutionary to me.

The biggest inspiration usually comes from books or movies. I love old movies and sometimes the black-and-white touch make the design more classy

Emotion inspires my design most. I strongly believe that scenic views can inspires also your design but for me, your emotions really play a big role.

I've been a graphic designer for 14 years now, and a web designer for several of those.

Personally, I think design is essentially solving a problem, responding to a brief. By this, the only inspiration should come from the content that makes up the design. (ie the text, images and theme.)

That said, in the real world, the content you get often sucks. In this instance, I just browse around the web for inspiration. Smashing Magazine dot com has some great stuff on it.
