Hi all,

I'm looking for opinions from those in the graphics field on whether or not Macs are still the "industry standard" for designers.

Those of you still in school, or just out of school -- are classrooms still Mac-only environments? Those of you working -- are your companies providing Macs or PCs? If you freelance, which do you prefer?

Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide on this.

mac is what i prefer, mainly cause i like macs better than pcs, but both mac and pc now are pretty commonly used by freelancers at least. most business use macs and most schools use macs.

I prefer PC. Definitely I am using it and using it efficiently.

I believe the Apple MAC is more popular with high-end graphic designers and animators.
For graphic design for web development, I would think PC would be a better choice but it is relatively cheaper then the MAC and there are more graphic software available and at a lower cost for the PC.

PC is my choice, especially since it is a hassle when some software you want isnt compatible with mac. I want to be able to install anything I want.

when u r making some thing for web then MAC / Windows / Linux doesnt matter as long as u get the right tools u wont face any trouble...

but Windows System are mostly preferred !!
