It doesn't sound like the dance. I had that happen once, but things went back to normal in time. I couldn't say what it was, but when I checked with other webmasters they said there was no dance going on.

Default Google Dance

First we discuss that its exist or not we need to know what is Google dance?

The Google database exists on many servers spread throughout the world. A large update of the Google databases can take several days.

A Google dance is when the Google servers are out of sync with one another. Your web site could be the #7 result for your main keywords on one Google server, and the #1 result on another server.

In early 2004, Google seems to have changed the way they push updates to the datacenters. The Google servers now seem to be in a contant SERP dance.

The term Google Dance is now being used to describe Google's periodic update of backlink and PR numbers.

Nope, this process is NOT known as the "Google Dance".

What you are seeing is the normal thing of the Google datacentres being continuously updated. Each time you perform a search the results may come from a different datacenter or a different server cluster within the datacentre. Each of the clusters/datacentres may contain a different version of the index.

It is a process that was called "everflux" (by the people who like to name things).
The "Google Dance" was the time when ALL the datacentres were updated and synchronised simultaneously. For the few days every month approx (10 times a year) when this was happening the SERPs were "unstable". Once this was completed however, everybody, everywhere would see exactly the same results. This was the time when "ranking reports" were a viable method of assessing how effective your previous months promotion and optimising efforts had been, and sending them to clients wasn't likely to be an embarassment.

In the early years of Google, the "dance" only lasted a day, two at most, simply because there were less data centres and a much smaller index. By 2003 the dance was lasting three or four days and Google was moving to the "rolling updates" method.

Google always love fresh contents ,and when it newer post coming on your target keywords ,it most likely rearrange the search engine result page.Note that if you site are authority site ,you site not going to "move out" that far.
