Default How does Adwords "Track You"

I'm trying to help my friend who lives accross the street get started with Adwords....

Problem is....he created his account.....created a few ads and now it has been 5 days and no impressions at all.

He called support and they said they were going to have their "Tech Team" look at it.

Now from what I've read here on the hoard.....this account is acting like a "banned" account. He has never done adwords before nor anyone in his home.

So now my question. In looking into things further he access the Internet on his comunity high speed cable that about 100 other people share. It looks like they all share the same external IP address.

So do you think it is possible that someone in his neighborhood got kicked out of adwords and Google is tracking that IP address? Do you think this could be the reason if it is indeed banned?

What do you suggest he do?

I'm not familiar with someone getting banned from AdWords because of the issue you describe. Spammers use adwords. You might be referring to Adsense where he would put ads on his site to make money. That's a much more tough environment.

I think you are trying to help him advertise his business on AdWords so his ad is placed on Google and possibly other sites, correct?

He probably has a really low quality score at this point.

These are things you want to look into:
Make sure his max cost per click is high enough.
Make sure his daily budget is high enough.
Use the key phrase you are bidding on in the title and description when possible.

Google will tell you what they recommend the cost per click should be and what the daily budget should be. See if you are close to those numbers. If it's too much money consider targeted phrases that aren't as competitive

There are many reasons behind it But i think it wont go live straight a way, you should allow few days for a new account. If you have got in touch with support, then I am pretty sure that they will sorted out it soon.

a,Is he in a restricted industry, where all ads have to be manually approved.

b,is the Credit Card registered in a different country, or similar, as in are you asking for invoicing in 1 country and logging in from another (yes boys, security filter is tripped on this 1 at times)

c,What's the TOOL within adwords showing as reason for ADS showing/not showing.

This are number of reasons why a campaign wouldn't go live immediately, but he's got them pretty covered. If you've already contacted support, then you are on the right track. They will get it sorted out.
