Which Adsense ad format works best on your site? Personally the leader board format works best for me.

Nopes..

I had bought a SEO and AdSense book where it is mentioned that the square rectangle is the best...

All depends on the site, i find with proxies the best is the square, but on some of my other sites a simple text link is more effective than a banner.

I would say the bigger, the better. Leaderboard, Wide Skyscraper or the biggest Square box would work best in my opinion.
