traffic is traffic.. that's what everybody wants. Though the main problem with social sites is that the results don't last that long. So you need to post new and interesting article/s to atleast maintain the flow of visits
Social bookmarking sites main purpose is to drive some traffic for your site, though is a short period of time. It is good for traffic and if a sale is made & you get a customer for life it is well worth it!
Not only a customer for life, but even if you get a small boost. Depending on what your site is, you'll be know for quite a while and you'll never be the same level of inactivity you had before.
The quality of the traffic from digg is the same as others. It depends on the topic and quality of the article. Those are good places to submit something controversial.
Who doesn't like traffic? Well IMO, getting traffic from social bookmarking websites such as Digg is still worth it eventhough it won't last that long, but still people knew that website.
