Is TV getting worse?

Just out of curiousity do you think that tv programmes are getting worse in quality? I'm sick of all this reality tv rubbish nowdays...

its because of the increasing popularity of reality show... thats where the money is...

There are hundreds of TV stations on cable. Some stations are rubbish, others are not. It all depends on your interest.
I am in the US, so I watch Discovery Channel, TLC (The Learning Channel) and CNN more than any other channels.

ablaye is right.. it really depends on your interest... if you dont like the program, then dont watch it... others may like programs that you think rubbish.. not all people have the same taste...

i watch very few shows, 1 is "reality" Overhaulin, its a show where they steal someones car and redo it with help from an insider and give it back to them all in 7 days, the rest are sitcoms, like Fraiser, Everybody Loves Raymond, Psych, and stuff like that.

I think most of TVs reality shows have got a new idea to get quick money from the pocket of people and it is SMS. Most of reality shows are askign to do SMS and they charge more than normal sms for it. If you want to make voting for yoru show then why dont you keep it free for honest results?

I think there are lots of people are wasting their money behind it. But many like me started to walk against it.

So I think yes TV is getting worse.

It depends on how you appreciate the shows... Some people think that show is great some others not.... it depends on the person viewing it. Just change your shows or just watch DVD's hehehehe

Actually i think recently T.V is starting to get better again. Reality shows are going down and these days some shows are even being put in the same league as Hollywood blockbusters...heroes...prison break anyone?

Well I don’t think TV is getting worst. There are hundred of channels to watch and one of them always showing our favorite show, cartoons or movies.
