Image thumbnails

There is an interesting way how this site displays full size of the image when you click its thumbnail: cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=AVCD-23497

I have something like a gallery in one of my websites, so I would like to know how is possible to do something similar with my images.

Tutorial, script, code, anything that helps will be appreciated
