This is another feature I liked when I visited a web design site. I guess it used AJAX to show an animated image while the website was still loading without showing how it does.

Do you know how to do this or any website where I can find it?

Kills the site for search engines though.

@untikoplus:you just answered your question. use a GIF animated image for the "Loading, please wait" message.

@chrishirst: I agree but not if you generate a static version of the page for archiving and SEO. Its hard work but it's our job as web masters.
