Servers are expensive. Unless your running your own hosting company then it would be the biggest waste of money to host yourself. A cheap server is $100/month, now a good server on the other hand.. A good host shouldnt be more than 8-10 dollars a month. Let's way this.. bad server: $100/month good host: $8-10/month?? Also anyone considering starting a hosting company, make sure not to offer unlimited bandwidth :P
