In spite of efforts to build buzz around Live Search and the adCenter platform, Microsoft handles far fewer search queries than Google Inc. and Yahoo Inc., the top two players. According to research group Nielsen/NetRatings Inc., Microsoft snagged about 10 percent of U.S. searches in February, compared with Google's 56 percent and Yahoo's 21 percent.
